Christmas 2005
Merry Christmas 2005
2005 has been a very busy year with many firsts, most of which were wonderful.
We did lots of traveling, beginning with a trip to California to visit the Gaimari’s and Rosenblums. Getting to enjoy the children and grandchildren for several weeks is always a pleasure. The grandchildren are growing into young ladies and gentlemen, due to the diligent work of their parents.
In July we went on a horse pack trip in Yellowstone. It was an Elderhostel trip, and lots of fun. Letting horses pack you and your gear is definitely the way to go! I’m afraid our old backpacking days are behind us. The following week the Cerettos,

Between
travels we spent the summer at the ranch.
Carrie Ceretto continues her job at the church. Lena is in third grade and has taken an interest in theater.
Ruth Lee still finds being a stay at home mom a full time job. William is in second grade and Edward in kindergarten. John was promoted to Assistant Vice President in the real estate lending department at the bank and became a citizen of these United States. We all are very proud.
While the Gaimaris were unable to join us at the reunion, they maintained a very active summer in California. Alex is now in fifth grade and is especially interested in the human body. He can explain all the components of the circulatory system. Rebecca loves third grade and Tony is flourishing in kindergarten. Helen is now finally finding a little more free time. Steve has been promoted to a supervisory position at the California Department of Agriculture, while maintaining his bug studies.
Georgia Rosenblum has also become a stay at home mom. Sydney is in fifth grade and loves softball. Brooke, in third grade is excelling in gymnastics. Grant continues to be on the legal team at the California ISO.
Last spring Dave was diagnosed with Parkinsonism. He has few symptoms, so we have been enjoying lots of activities and travel. We also moved this fall to a ranch style house in the country about 6 miles from Hampsh
ire. It really is a dream house, with a perfect woodsy setting. After 38 years in one place, this move has proved very daunting, and we still search through boxes for anything we want. Getting the old house painted, carpeted and ready to sell has been even more time consuming, however, which explains our very tardy Christmas letter. Our new address is:

We very much enjoy hearing from each and every one of you, so keep in touch. If you are in the Chicago area in winter, or western Nebraska in summer, please come see us. E-mail is still the best way to reach us, and cell phones usually work, too.

The Jones family has been blessed in 2005, and hope you have too. Our best wishes to all for a wonderful 2006.
